Stallmuseum e.V. is a small NGO in the village of Groß Fredenwalde in the core of beautiful Uckermark about 1hrs. north of Berlin. We maintain the estates and legacy of the artist Inge Mahn (†2023) and organize exhibitions and residencies on the premises of the sculptor. Our main approach is the concept of social plastic, to get people involved in creative and artistic ways. We cooperate with the University of Arts in Poznań.
We invite students at art-academies and universities in Germany and Poland to apply for one-of-six internships to work and live in Groß Fredenwalde in the summer of 2025. During this time two international artists will work on our annual exhibition series titled „Who belongs in the countryside?“. Two interns will work together for a period of 4 weeks.
The tasks and activities of the interns:
• assistance to organization (e.g. work in library, archive and social media)
• co-organizing small events of organization (e.g. workshops, excursions)
• caretaking of house and garden, enriching social life and leisure time
• ensuring opening-hours and tours for visitors on weekends
• assistance to residing artist – if needed and wanted
We expect:
• general interest in contemporary art, its creation and mediation processes
• social and communication skills and developed self-organization
• Fluent english AND german or fluent english AND polish language
• willingness to support the project in a practical and concrete way

We offer:
• Free Room for stay and work in rural countryside close to lake
• Travel and meal allowance for the entire internship: 350€
• Mentoring and exchange with experienced curators and artists
